Challenge

Cross-language meetings are everywhere, but the tools mean bots joining the call, clunky setup, or shipping your audio to a server. The goal: understand any meeting live, in your own language, without anyone on the other side knowing — and without your voice ever leaving your machine.

Approach

1. 01Captured Mac system audio in real time — Zoom, Meet, YouTube, any app.
2. 02Ran speech-to-text and translation, rendering live captions as a floating overlay.
3. 03Kept the overlay invisible on screen share, so only the user sees it.
4. 04Processed on-device for privacy, shipped as a 20 MB Apple-notarized app.
